Frequently asked questions

What is St Anne’s Giving Day?

24 – 25 February is St Anne’s Giving Day. It’s a chance for the entire College community – alumnae, students, fellows, staff and friends - to come together, reflect on our experiences at the College and make a difference to future students.

How can I get involved?

  • Come to one of the online events taking place in the Community Week and on the Giving Day itself.
  • Sign up as a social ambassador to spread the word among your friends to help us reach as many members of our community as possible.
  • Alternatively, tell your friends about the Day and use it as an excuse to catch up.
  • Make a donation.

What makes a Giving Day different from any other day?

Unlike gifts made for the rest of the year, donations made on St Anne’s Giving Day have the potential to generate even further impact. Follow our campaign hashtag #stannersshare and find out how you and your friends can unlock match funds on the Day. If you already know you will be busy on 24 - 25 February you can give in advance to ensure your gift still has maximum impact.

What are we fundraising for?

Since its founding, St Anne’s College has always been about widening access to an Oxford Education. The College wants to be a diverse and inclusive community contributing to the University’s commitment to lead the world in education and research. Gifts made on St Anne’s Giving Day will support Access and Outreach and our COVID-19 Response Fund, set up to help support students and areas of College impacted by the pandemic.

To find out more about our campaigns, follow news of our Giving Day on email and on social media.

What is matched giving?

We want to get as many people involved as possible and we’re aiming for at least 200 people to donate to the College. To help us achieve this target we have had some generous alumnae offer initial funding to help incentivise others.

There will be a host of challenges throughout the day that will unlock match funding. There will also be an overall fund that will match donations to a certain level, increasing the impact of the donations you make.

Can anyone give to St Anne’s Giving Day?

Yes! We want to encourage support from as many people as possible to help current and future St Anne’s students.

What if I can’t give on the day itself?

If you want to give a gift now you can do so here: We’ll add gifts given here to the total on the Day.

How can I give tax-efficiently from the US and internationally?

We are able to accept gifts from all over the world. All of the information will be available on the Day. If you would like any information in advance then please email

How do I know my donation is secure?

St Anne’s uses an offsite payment processor called Stripe to process credit card donations. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
