https://st-annesgivingday.hubbub.net is a site operated by St Anne’s College ("We", “St Anne’s” or the “College”) in conjunction with Sponsorcraft (trading as Hubbub). The St Anne’s administrative offices are at Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HS.

St Anne’s College is a registered charity number 1142660 and registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

By using our site you accept these terms

By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site. Use of the site includes accessing, browsing, or making a donation.

We may make changes to these terms and our site

We amend these terms from time to time and we may update and change our site from time to time. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.

We may suspend or withdraw our site

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.


In order to use parts of the Services, you may be required to register with st-annes.hubbub.net and select a password and “user name”. You shall not:

  • create or use as a user name the name of another person with the intention of impersonating that person;
  • use as a user name a name which is subject to any rights of a person other than you without appropriate authorisation; or
  • use as a user name a name which is offensive or inflammatory as deemed by St Anne’s at its sole discretion.

St Anne’s reserves the right to refuse registration of or to cancel a user name in its sole discretion and to disable any user name or password, at any time, if in its reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of the Terms. You agree not to use another user’s account without such other user’s express permission.

You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords associated with any account you use to access the Services. You must not disclose this information to any third party. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your password or of your account, you agree to notify St Anne’s immediately by email to development@st-annes.ox.ac.uk>

Accordingly, you agree that you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Information about you and your visits to our site

We process information about you in accordance with our privacy policy which forms part of these terms and conditions. By using our site, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data you provide is true and accurate. Electronic notification policy

By using the Services, you consent to receiving from St Anne’s all communications including notices, agreements, legally required disclosures or other information in connection with the Services (collectively, "Contract Notices") electronically.


The term 'Content' or ‘Material’ means any content, including (but not limited to) videos, audio clips, text, software, pictures and other features and information which St Anne’s has made available as part of the Services, including content which you have uploaded to the Site in accordance with the Terms.

How you may use material on our site

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it, including our logos. They are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

St Anne’s gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive licence to use the Content provided to you on the st-annes.hubbub.net site as part of the Services. This licence is for the sole purpose of enabling you to use the Services as provided by st-annes.hubbub.net, in the manner permitted by the Terms. Use, reproduction, modification, distribution or storage of any part of the Services (including any Content) other than for personal, non-commercial use is expressly prohibited without prior written permission from St Anne’s.

You may not (and you may not permit anyone else to) copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Services.

If you print off, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

You may not assign (or grant a sub-licence of) your rights to use the Services, grant a security interest in or over your rights to use the Services, or otherwise transfer any part of your rights to use, or obligations in relation to, the Services.

Your user-generated content

Any content you upload to our site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you grant us a limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute and make it available to third parties.

You are solely responsible for securing and backing up your content.

Acceptable use

You may use the site only for lawful purposes. You must not use the site:

  • in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation (including applicable law in the UK and the law of the country from which postings are made);
  • in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
  • to misrepresent the user's identity or authority; or is false, misleading or inaccurate;
  • in a way that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, right of publicity or other such right of any other person or entity or violates any law or contractual duty;
  • to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material that does not comply with the content standards;
  • to transmit or procure the sending of any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material, junk mail or any other form of similar solicitation (spam);
  • to access or attempt to access other users’ accounts;
  • to hack or attempt to hack any part of the site, or any system used to run it, or any system accessed through the site;
  • to disrupt the flow of communications in interactive areas;
  • to store personal data derived from the site;
  • to tamper with communications which are not yours, or make any alteration to any information on the site;
  • to post material which: (i). infringes intellectual property rights; (ii) defames or threatens other people or organisations; (iii) is offensive, obscene or hateful, or which other users of the site are likely to consider offensive, obscene or hateful;
  • to distribute any type of virus or other device intended to cause nuisance, loss or corruption of any information on the site or accessed through it, or of any systems used to operate the site or any systems accessed through it.

You warrant that any contribution you make to the site will be in accordance with these terms, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

If you breach this provision, you may be committing a criminal offence. St Anne’s will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.

User-generated content is not approved by us

This website may include information and materials uploaded by other users of the site, including to bulletin boards.

St Anne’s reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to pre-screen, review, flag, filter, modify, refuse or remove any or all Content from any part of the Services. The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.

You understand that by using the Services you may be exposed to Content that you may find offensive, indecent or objectionable and that, in this respect, you use the Services at your own risk.

We reserve the right at our sole discretion to remove any content which we have been notified is objectionable, whether or not the objection is substantiated, and otherwise to review, edit or delete any comments posted by users which we deem defamatory, unlawful, threatening or otherwise objectionable. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and to the extent permitted in law, we accept no responsibility or liability for any material communicated by third parties via the site.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

To the extent permitted in law, St Anne’s accepts no liability for any loss or damage which may be suffered by other parties as a direct or indirect result of using this Website (including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of business, and consequential loss).

You agree to indemnify us for all claims brought by a third party against us arising out of or in connection with any breach by you of any warranty set out in the conditions.


We are not responsible for viruses and you must not introduce them We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful interfering with, damaging or destroying the proper function of the Services, or impersonates any person or entity, including any employee or representative of St Anne’s College.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.

We are not responsible for websites we link to

Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources. St Anne’s shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any such website or resource.

Linking to the Site

You must not link to a website in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on St Anne’s part where none exists. You must not establish a link to the Site in any website that is not owned by you. St Anne’s reserves the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. The website in which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content requirements set out in these Terms. All donations are collected via Stripe. Stripe is a payment service which processes credit card, debit card and other types of card payments from users. We are not responsible for the performance or fairness of Stripe. Given the occasional failures of some credit cards, we cannot guarantee the full receipt of the funds raised. Please contact development@st-annes.ox.ac.uk if you have any questions or issues arising from making a donation via the site.

Gift Aid

Donations have a Gift Aid option and any such option will be subject to the additional legal terms covering this. If you are a UK tax-payer and you tick this option you will allow St Anne’s to reclaim tax on this donation and all donations you make on or after the date of this declaration, until you notify us otherwise. If you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in each tax year, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

These terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

If any of these terms is found to be illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the term(s) in question will be severed; but the remaining terms will continue in force.


St Anne’s College reserves the right to terminate your account or restrict access to all or any part of the Services at any time without notice or cause and such termination and/or restriction will be effective immediately. This may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information and/or Content associated with your membership. If you wish to terminate your account at any time, please contact us by email at development@st-annes.ox.ac.uk. St Anne’s will effect the termination of your account, and remove your information from the Site, as soon as reasonably possible.

When the supply of the Services to you is terminated, for whatever reason, these Terms and Conditions shall continue to have full force and effect. These include (but are not limited to) your obligations in relation to conduct, content, intellectual property rights, payment and indemnification, and St Anne’s rights in relation to payment, content, intellectual property.
